InDepth Diving provides comprehensive services for mooring systems, including full-cycle support from design and installation to periodic inspection, maintenance, repair, and compliance certification. 

With extensive experience across commercial, industrial, and marine sectors, we service moorings for ports, marinas, aquaculture farms, offshore platforms, and vessel anchoring systems throughout New Zealand.

Mooring Inspection & Certification

We conduct detailed above and below water inspections of single-point, multi-leg, and swing mooring systems, using diver-based assessments and ROV support where required. Inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant maritime authority standards, and include:

• Visual and photographic documentation of chains, shackles, buoys, anchors, and seabed condition
• Measurement of wear, elongation, and corrosion on mooring components
• Load testing and tension analysis
• Position verification and embedment checks
• Generation of certification reports to meet regulatory and insurance requirements

Our certified inspectors provide full documentation with compliance status, maintenance recommendations, and re-certification timelines.

Mooring Installation

We offer turnkey mooring installation solutions, tailored to site-specific conditions such as water depth, seabed type, vessel specifications, and environmental loads. Installation capabilities include:

• Block and deadweight systems
• Buoy systems, risers, and rope or chain configurations
• Permanent and temporary moorings for marine construction, aquaculture, and vessel operations

All installations are precisely positioned using GPS and diver verification, with post-installation inspection and commissioning included as standard.

Maintenance & Repair

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the long-term safety and functionality of mooring systems. InDepth Diving provides:

• Chain and shackle replacement
• Cleaning, re-tensioning, and buoy servicing
• Anchor repositioning and reset
