Moorings

InDepth Diving provides complete mooring system solutions across New Zealand, offering end-to-end services from design and installation to ongoing inspection, maintenance, repair, and certification. With experience spanning commercial, industrial, and marine sectors, we service moorings for ports, marinas, aquaculture operations, offshore platforms, and vessel anchoring systems.

Using a combination of diver-based inspections and ROV support, our team conducts detailed assessments of mooring components including chains, shackles, buoys, anchors, and seabed conditions. Our services cover wear and corrosion measurement, load testing, tension analysis, position verification, and compliance reporting to meet maritime authority and insurance standards.

Our certified professionals ensure mooring systems remain safe, secure, and fully functional through regular maintenance, timely component replacement, emergency repairs, and strict adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements.

Mooring Inspection Application

Please read the below information before completing and submitting the form

The costs involved for mooring inspections and to provide you with the subsequent certificate or permit will be advised at the time of engagement.

Additional charges may apply for maintenance or materials used in the servicing of your mooring. Please indicate on the form an allowable budget for repairs so that minor repairs can be made at the time of the inspection to avoid additional charges of the divers having to return at a later date. We will endeavour to inform you of any extra costs as they arise when inspecting your mooring. With any repairs and maintenance completed, photographic evidence as well as all removed components will be held with the harbour master for three months before they are disposed of. Mooring relocations will be at an additional cost.

By completing this document you give InDepth Diving Ltd permission to inspect and service your mooring. You confirm that you are aware of the costs involved and will be liable for these costs within 10 working days of the service being completed. Your certificate / permit will be issued upon receipt of payment unless prior arrangement has been made.
